Amanda Schnettler
Licensed Social Worker Amanda is a NYS Licensed Social Worker, who earned her Master’s Degree through Stony Brook University, and holds a Specialty Certification in Trauma. Amanda has worked extensively with children and adolescents in a magnitude of settings, including individual therapy, school based services, foster care, supportive community services, as well as a background in coaching. She has experience working with individuals dealing with Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, Self-Injurious Behaviors, and low Self-Esteem, as well as those challenged by difficult life transitions or conflicts. Amanda confidently utilizes evidenced-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, while also applying mindfulness and person-centered approaches to improve awareness and self-regulation. Amanda has an intense passion for working with today’s youth and young adults, and enjoys applying individual strengths to create personalized goals and achievements, to enhance ones therapeutic experience. Currently, Amanda is a Child/Adolescent Counselor and Mental Health Coordinator providing social and emotional support to children, adolescents, and young adults dealing with mental health and medical challenges. |
Rachel Tirelli Licensed Social Worker Rachel is a NYS Licensed Social Worker, who earned her Master’s Degree through Stony Brook University and holds a Specialty Certification in Trauma. Rachel brings mindfulness into her therapy with her clients so that clients understand their mindset and body sensations in order to learn coping strategies to help with individual concerns. Rachel works mainly with children and adolescents, individually and in the group setting, working on learning social skills, coping skills, impulse control, and emotion regulation. Rachel has worked with individuals with anxiety, depression, inattention, poor self-esteem, and difficulty relating and engaging with peers. Rachel has experience using evidence based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness practices, Strength Based and Person Centered approaches. Rachel is currently an elementary school social worker working with children in Kindergarten through fifth grade. Michelle Christoffersen Licensed Social Worker Michelle Christoffersen is a NYS Licensed Social Worker, earning her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Stony Brook University, specializing in families, youth, adolescents and their transition to adulthood. In Michelle’s sixteen years within the field of social work, she has experience with all populations ages five through adulthood in various clinical, school, and community settings. Most of her career has been spent in crisis intervention roles while working with school aged children, teens, and their families to empower them while building on their strengths and skills. Additionally, Michelle has prior case management experience and extensive knowledge of the resources and the possible linkages that are available and can benefit her clients. Michelle believes in a person centered approach, and works collaboratively with her clients to assist them with feeling their best self; as they attain optimal success towards their goals. She is passionate about incorporating self care and mindfulness into therapy, so that these skills can be practiced outside of the therapeutic setting. Michelle’s area of expertise include; cognitive behavior therapy, motivational interviewing, behavior modification, strength based and solution focused approaches, as well as trauma informed care and crisis intervention. |
Kathryn Dranoff Licensed Master Social Worker Kathryn is a NYS Licensed Social Worker with her Master’s Degree from Stony Brook University. She has experience working with and supporting children, adolescents and their families to promote their social emotional well-being. Kathryn has worked with clients to help them manage various stressors that occur in day to day life, such as, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem and relationship issues. In her work, Kathryn has provided assistance to both individuals and groups developing their coping skills, social skills, emotional regulation, impulse control and anger management. Kathryn uses Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Strength Based and Mindfulness practices in her approach in working with others. Currently, Kathryn works as a Middle School Social Worker with students in grades six through eight. |
Gina Kiernan
Licensed Master of Social Worker Gina is a Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare graduate, and received her Bachelor's degree from St. Joseph's College. She has worked with individuals, parents, and families, ran youth groups, and done community outreach in private practice, nonprofit, and the school setting. Gina is passionate about helping other people recognize mental health's impact on the brain and body. She specializes in the clinical treatment of various populations, including children, adolescents, young adults, new mothers, first responders, anxiety, depression, grief, PTSD, and trauma. Gina helps clients find a healthy outlet to express their emotions and process challenges while improving their emotional wellbeing. She uses the collective therapeutic approaches of Strengths-Based Perspective, Mindfulness, Trauma-Informed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Gina wants therapy to be something her clients can look forward to, empowering change and promoting self-care. Gina has obtained certificates in Children of Trauma, Resilience, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Suicide Prevention, and Disaster Mental Health Training. She has completed The Seminar in Field Instruction (SIFI) at Aldephi University School of Social Work. |
Hanna Clair
Licensed Social Worker Hanna Clair is a NYS Licensed Social Worker who received her Master’s Degree from New York University in Manhattan. She has extensive experience working with and supporting children and adolescents to enhance their social emotional well-being. Hanna has worked with individuals with Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder and autism in a school setting. She uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths based and Mindfulness in her approach when working with others. Hanna is a compassionate therapist dedicated to making a difference to help her client’s succeed. |

Licensed Clinical Social Worker Joan is a NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker, who received her Master’s Degree from Adelphi University. With more than 25 years of Social Work practice, Joan has a professional background of working in the Educational, Medical and Mental Health fields. Joan believes in a collaborative approach to therapy, working with clients to prioritize their goals. In addition to providing a safe, supportive and welcoming space, Joan utilizes a Multimodal approach to therapy, and works with her clients to tailor the best therapeutic support to meet their individual needs. |

With a strong foundation in well-being and mindfulness life practice, Jessica has been drawn to therapeutic styles and techniques that utilize cognitive behavioral therapy and humanistic therapy. Her approach to counseling focuses on helping clients understand their own unique thought patterns, emotions, and behaviors in order to achieve growth and empowerment.
Jessica believes counseling should be a collaborative experience, and strives to create a safe and comfortable space where clients feel heard and understood. She is passionate about supporting her clients on their journey toward self-discovery and finding meaningful ways to navigate life's challenges.
